The Soil Separator machine removes 99 percent of all dry particulate matter from a rug, and does it without casting dust anywhere. A high-powered, specially engineered HEPA vacuum system pulls the dust from a catch basin after it is shaken free with a series of rollers. This method is highly effective at removing the dirt from rugs, it also is a lot gentler to hand-knotted rugs then the older style mechanical beaters that would slap the rugs with leather whips, knocking dust and dirt from them. "The Soil Separator" machine is a safe and very effective for rugs that can cost tens of thousands of dollars.

Rugs get put on this very sensitive scale before and after they go through "The Soil Separator" to measure exactly how much dry particulate matter was removed from the rug.

Next the rugs go through the Rug Spa which cleans the rug in a multi-step process.

The last step is to dry the rugs, first the rugs get run through a The Ringer then they get hung up to dry in a dehumidified drying area.  Area Rug Cleaning Co. has designed an elaborate system with a series of electric pulleys to lift the rugs after cleaning.
